Sunderland fans want Oviedo to start vs Wimbledon

Loads of Sunderland fans have been reacting to a major fitness boost, and they think it should impact the way they line up this weekend.

Sunderland travel to Wimbledon this weekend off the back of a brilliant 4-1 win at Gillingham, and fans are hoping to see Bryan Ovideo back in the side.

The Costa Rican wing back missed the win at Gillingham due to a knock he picked up against Scunthorpe, but the 28 year-old has linked up with the squad again.

Jack Ross now has a bit of a selection headache on his hands, as Reece James was excellent at left-back against Gillingham.

On one hand, it feels harsh to drop a new signing who has just put in a wonderful performance, but Oviedo is undoubtedly a class above most of the players in League One.

The flying full back was one of the few bright spots last season, most notably his wonderful goal against Millwall.
